The Growth Engine
The Multi-Cloud Standard Moat: HashiCorp's growth engine was built on the tactical creation of the 'Standard Language' for infrastructure (HCL). By providing open-source tools like Terraform that worked across all cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), they solved 'Cloud Lock-in' fears. Their growth was self-reinforcing: as more enterprises adopted multi-cloud strategies, Terraform became the mandatory 'Syntax' of infrastructure, allowing HashiCorp to sell high-value governance and security layers (Vault, Sentinel) to the world's largest organizations.
